Can I Use Expired Sealant?

If the sealant remains pliable in its container, applies smoothly with the gun, and sets within the expected duration, then using an out-of-date sealant should generally be acceptable. Many people have successfully used sealants past their expiration date without encountering any problems. While expired sealants can be a cost-saving choice for basic sealing tasks, for more crucial projects, we advise opting for one of our fresh sealants.

Cut the top of the cartridge, and before attaching the nozzle, push a small amount of the sealant out into a tissue, as this can sometimes part-set. Once the sealant appears to be normal consistency, attach the nozzle and use.
